Trickle, Trickle Little Star

I thought the children's tune might be so suitable to the fairy tale story of the GOP once again spreading fairy dust to us and on us. They pretend that all will be well if we put about $1 billion into the Trump family or we share bounty with the Koch Brothers by sending truckloads of money to their chicken plants. Oh, but for one small problem. The fairy dust clouds our otherwise perfect vision. Let me give you a simple reasoning why the trickle, trickle is just that. It is a fairy tale and we are fools to suggest that all is well. All is not well.

If as the dust spreaders pretend giving money to corporations will somehow transform them into generous giving organizations. Smiling and gesturing they will produce more F-150's or baseball gloves. The problem, folks, is that the consumer must want to buy more and further the consumers must be plentiful. Middle class in this country is shrinking and you know why it is shrinking. Simple answer here, jobs don't pay to support, corporations and large institutions that depend on the government have taken more and more of their share leaving little for the you and me. The GOP is responsible for what is not only a coarsening of America but "draining" what was a comfortable middle class in this country. The promises of carnival barker Trump is the lie, yes, lie that is being perpetuated on you and me. he average consumer cannot and will not be able to be part of this country now in the hands and utter control of corporations.

Every voter in the state should call their congressman or senator. Oh, I know that lots won't or don't know how.  Not an excuse. Call Chuck's office here in Chattanooga. Chuck, you will learn, is bought and paid for the same corporate interests as is the Republican Party. I would like the naysayers that read this not try to spread more fairy dust but argue the points made here with the same sensitivity and mind you, intelligence as this writer.

Party Problems In The 30th District House Race

Watching the 30th district house race is very interesting.  It is normal that the front runner in an election can expect some attacks.  However, the vicious attacks that Ms. Helton is facing is unprecedented in my opinion.  Both of these candidates are in the same party.  I was under the impression that party leaders were the ones that challenged a candidate’s ...
